§ 30-1. Authority.

(a)

The action of the town in the adoption of this chapter is authorized under section 1.1 of the town Charterand G.S. 160A-381.

(b)

This chapter was adopted as one of the instruments of implementation of the public purposes and objectives of the adopted town master plan ("master plan"). This chapter is declared to be in accord with the master plan.

(c)

This chapter was adopted to promote the health, safety and general welfare of the town and its citizens.

(d)

This chapter was adopted and may be amended by vote of the town council.
