§ 38-3. Discharging firearms.

It shall be unlawful for any person to fire a gun, rifle, pistol or other firearm within the town except when used in defense of person or property or pursuant to lawful directions of law enforcement officers. This section shall not apply to an officer lawfully discharging his duty. Nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit trap shooting or turkey shoots at such places and under such conditions as may be approved by the town manager.
