§ 14-140. Application of article.

Latest version.

The provisions of this article shall apply to new and existing conditions and structures, and to the repair, use, occupancy and maintenance of existing buildings or structures specified in the North Carolina Fire Prevention Code, and to other conditions hazardous to life or property. Nothing contained in this article shall be construed as applying to the transportation of any substance shipped in compliance with regulations prescribed by state and federal law or as applying to the military forces of the United States. This article shall not apply to one- and two-family dwellings or individual living spaces located in multi-family dwellings.
